These days, many people look forward to the wedding reception. Besides, its such a great feast while chatting with people you already met. Here are a few wedding reception trends:
Phone Check Station
You wont need your phone for much of the event so it is wonderful to have a phone check station. It can be where you can put all of your phones until the night is over. You should avoid taking pictures of the event since they hired a photographer for that. Chances are, there is also a photobooth there just waiting for you and your friends to put on costumes.
Funky Neon Light Installation
It would be awesome to play with the lights of the wedding placecards as it will capture a lot of attention. Some would think this would only be applicable when it is time to dance. The truth is you can feel the need to dance some more when the event is moving along smoothly.
Spice Cannister Place Cards
The containers can do double duty during the wedding. They can let your guests know where they are seated and the guests can add more flavour to their food with these spices. It is such a welcome sight and you can bet they will be more than willing to take home the cannisters and show off to their friends.
Onsite Tattoos
At first it would sound a bit strange for your guests to get a tattoo of your huge event. The truth is you can do it in the nick of time and hire a tattoo designer who is pretty good at making designs. There could even be some henna options for the kids who like to play around a bit.
Cotton Candy Station
Adults would usually want something to distract their kids while they do their business. This would be the perfect way to do it. While most receptions commonly offer ice cream as the stand that would attract those who have the sweet tooth, you can’t resist cotton candy though even if it comes before the meal.
Cocktails with Tamarind Straws
You are certainly doing your part in saving the environment if you use paper straws instead of plastic. The problem with paper straws is that they can get a bit soggy in due time. The best solution would be to provide edible straws as you know they look cute and you don’t have to feel guilty about throwing them away. You can now feel confident about bringing out your signature cocktails.
Add a Ferris Wheel
If you have an outdoor venue, you can consider adding a ferris wheel to it. Guests now have something to do while they wait for the food. If they are done eating, then it would be a nice walk in the park. Avoid being tempted to put a roller coaster and a merry go round there though as that would suffice. Your wedding may look like an amusement park which would not sit too well with the adults.
